Ken, I never fail to enjoy your musings so thank you again for sharing. I also rarely read one of your musings without it bringing something else to mind, sometimes relevant, sometimes not. While there are many examples professing resistance to be futile - with the most well-known perhaps being the Borg pronouncement in Star Trek - I'm not sure I agree with it as a harbinger of a need to surrender as much as a need to conquer from within.
